Creating a Single Source of Truth through a Membership Management System
CANEGROWERS is the peak body for Australian sugarcane growers and represents around 80% of Australia's sugarcane growers.
Managing a growing membership base was proving difficult for Canegrowers. Their legacy system was becoming unstable and was simply ineffective in managing members.
Canegrowers needed a replacement that would enhance organisation effectiveness, develop a positive external environment, recognise and manage diverse grower needs whilst maintaining organisation unity and providing a foundation and structure for future industry direction.
Development of a Membership Management System to improve the management of Canegrowers information.
Using an Agile approach to meet Canegrower’s needs, Oakton implemented a solution using Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the vehicle, which was locally hosted in a secure Australian data centre. The solution incorporated specific needs for Membership, Mills and Farms. It included Election and Magazine modules as well as tracking communications and interactions with members.
Canegrowers now have a Membership Management system that provides a single source of truth of its members. The system allows all interactions and communications with its members to be tracked in real time. The marketing team capability has been enriched with the ability to disseminate information (e.g. magazines) and manage events and campaigns effectively.
The organisation is able to quickly and easily retrieve statistics on sugar production state-wide with added functionality of comparing previous periods and identifying trends thus providing enhanced reporting to management.
