Oakton Signs Four Year Managed Services Deal with Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department
Australian consulting and technology firm, Oakton [ASX:OKN] has signed a four year contract with the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) to re build, host and manage its Document Verification Service (DVS) for the real-time verification of proof-of-identity documents.
AGD provides expert support to the Government on the maintenance and improvement of Australia's system of law and justice. This solution will deliver to the department a secure extensible and cost effective service that will provide the flexibility and scalability to meet the future needs of the Government and commercial stakeholders alike.
The new DVS will provide AGD with the ability to lower costs while improving customer service.The solution will be delivered using a tightly integrated set of software and infrastructure components and services. “Oakton is proud to be able to support AGD in achieving its goals for the new DVS from design through to development, to an ongoing integrated managed service. This includes the provision of full infrastructure services as part of the Oakton Services Integration model,” said Neil Wilson, CEO of Oakton.
